Two-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-MVFC in 2016. Played guard for all of his junior season and a majority of his senior season. Helped Illinois State finish sixth in its conference for total offense per game (385.4 yards).
Large and strong small-school guard with next-level ability. Explosive at the point, turns defenders off the line run blocking or anchors to hold his ground in pass protection. Stays square, plays with excellent knee bend and keeps his feet moving. Possesses outstanding vision and blocking intelligence and plays with a nasty attitude. Uses his hands well, fights throughout the play and squares into defenders to seal them from the action. Works hard to get a pad on opponents and at the same time works well with linemates.
Ineffective off the line of scrimmage, slow pulling from the backside and does not finish blocks in motion. Marginal ability in space.
Lee is a fundamentally sound lineman with excellent size, strength and attitude. He has athletic limitations, but in the proper system he’ll make a roster as a backup and could develop into a first-team player in time.
