Bio:
Four-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt and completed 63.9 percent of his passes for 3,290 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2017 to earn an invitation to the Senior Bowl. Earned First Team All-Sun Belt honors and led the conference with 23 touchdown passes while posting a 63.7 percent completion rate and 3,180 passing yards and throwing 12 interceptions as a junior. Completed 61.2 percent of his passes for 2,378 yards, 20 touchdowns and seven INTs in 2015. Broke the NCAA freshman completion percentage record and led the Sun Belt with a 70.5 percent completion rate while throwing for 1,836 yards and 11 touchdowns with three interceptions in 2014.
Pos:
Underrated quarterback with outstanding command of the offense. Displays incredible patience in the pocket, stands in against the rush and buys as much time as necessary. Knows where receivers are on the field, naturally looks off the safety and effectively sets up screen passes. Displays awareness, spreads the ball around and uses all his targets. Displays good speed on short and intermediate throws. Puts air under corner patterns and allows pass catchers to run to the ball. Flashes the ability to place throws where only his receiver can make the reception.
Neg:
Lacks a true next-level arm. Downfield and lateral accuracy is questionable. Passes can be all over the place.
Analysis:
Silvers is a game-manager with great timing and accuracy on short and intermediate passes. He would be an asset as a backup for an offense that does not throw the ball vertically often.
