Three-year starter who started all 13 games as a true freshman, with 10 coming at right tackle and three at left tackle. Started his sophomore season with three starts on the left side before moving back to right tackle. Played eight games in 2014 and then suffered a season-ending injury three games into the following season. Started all 13 games at right tackle in 2016.
Athletic offensive line prospect who needs work on his game. Sets with a wide base, works to bend his knees and keeps his feet as well as his hands active throughout the action. Strong, stays square and easily out-positions defenders from the play. Makes proper use of angles, quickly gets out to the second level and nicely redirects to linebackers or defensive backs, removing them from the play. Turned in a tremendous performance at the combine.
Lacks great lateral blocking range. Occasionally late with his hands. Really doesn’t play like a great athlete.
Lining up at left tackle for TCU, Collins is a developing offensive guard prospect with a good amount of upside. He’s a practice squad player who could make an active roster if he improves the details of his position.
