Bio:
Three-year starter who started at every offensive line position except right guard in 2017 to earn invitations to the East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl. Made nine starts at center and four a left tackle as a junior. Started at center in 2015. Transferred to Auburn from Ole Miss and sat out the 2014 season.
Pos:
Nice-sized blocker who can play multiple positions on the interior offensive line. Quick off the snap, explodes into blocks and plays with solid fundamentals. Shows an excellent head for the position, works well with linemates and quarterbacks the offensive line.
Neg:
Gets tall in his stance and shows minimal power in his lower body. Struggles with quick or explosive opponents.
Analysis:
Golson was a resilient lineman for Auburn but is a limited athlete with marginal upside for the next level. His ability to play guard or center could help him find a roster spot as an inexpensive backup.
