Bio:
Two-year starter who made 52 tackles (nine for loss) and two sacks as a senior. Tallied 62 tackles (10 for loss) and 3.5 sacks in 2016. Made seven appearances as a sophomore, including one start, and posted 28 tackles (five for loss) and two sacks.
Pos:
Underrated defensive line prospect with the size and skill to be used in multiple schemes at the next level. Breaks down well, plays with proper pad level and flashes athleticism. Constantly around the action and makes positive plays. Gives a lot of effort and shows a good head for the ball. Slides off opponents to make plays on the ball carrier, displays great quickness and plays disciplined football.
Neg:
Easily controlled at the point and struggles getting off blocks once engaged. Just an average pass rusher.
Analysis:
Guerad was consistently productive for Central Florida the past three seasons and offers the size, athleticism and upside potential to line up as a conventional defensive tackle or at defensive end in a one-gap system. He must improve his playing strength but comes with big upside and could surprise in camp this summer.
