Bio:
Three-year starter who tied for the team lead with two interceptions and made 64 tackles (three for loss) with one forced fumble as a senior. Made seven starts and recorded 53 tackles and one interception in 2016. Started 12 games and posted 64 tackles (four for loss), one interception and six PBUs as a sophomore.
Pos:
Underrated safety best making plays up the field. Instinctive, effectively diagnoses plays and takes proper angles to the action. Gives effort against the run, wraps up tackling and brings opponents down in the open field. Tracks the pass in the air and possesses good hands for the interception. Terrific on special teams and hustles down on coverage units to make tackles.
Neg:
Possesses average size and speed. Marginally effective in deep center field.
Analysis:
Sherrils is ignored in the scouting community but was productive in all facets of the defense for Missouri and offers possibility as an eighth defensive back in a zone system.
