Bio:
Two-year starter who set school records with 96 receptions and 1,462 receiving yards and scored 18 touchdowns in 2017, earning First Team All-AAC honors. Caught 95 passes for 1,434 yards and 14 scores as a junior. Started four games in 2015 and made 47 receptions for 694 yards and five touchdowns. Missed his entire redshirt freshman season with a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason. Missed the Senior Bowl after hurting his right ankle in the Liberty Bowl.
Pos:
Dynamic skill player who impacts games as a receiver and return specialist. Displays a sense of timing and focus and climbs over defenders to come away with difficult catches. Works his hands to separate from opponents, sacrifices his body to come away with receptions and keeps plays in bounds after the catch. Quick, comes back to the quarterback to make himself an available target and uses his frame to shield away defenders. Extends his hands and snatches the ball from the air. Game-changing return specialist.
Neg:
Not a true vertical threat. Not a big-bodied receiver and loses out in battles. Ineffective blocking downfield. Has injury questions that will raise red flags with some organizations.
Analysis:
Miller comes off a pair of insanely productive seasons at Memphis, but questions surround his athleticism and durability. In a best-case scenario, he can line up as a third receiver in the slot on a consistent basis, or he could be a prospect who struggles with injury and consistently gets beat out by opponents.
