Bio:
Three-year starter who earned Third Team All-CAA honors and caught 17 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown in 2017. Named Second Team All-CAA in 2015 and 2016. Made 30 receptions for 269 yards and three TDs as a junior. Recorded 34 catches for 360 yards and two scores as a sophomore. Started four games as a true freshman and made five catches for 77 yards and one touchdown.
Pos:
Nice-sized tight end who gets the most from his ability. Plays heads-up football, comes back into the clearing to make himself an available target and extends his hands to snatch the ball away from his frame. Explosive at the point and blocks with knee bend and leverage. Keeps his head on a swivel and always looks for someone to hit.
Neg:
Does not always come away with difficult catches. Possesses average blocking strength. Lacks the speed to stretch the seam.
Analysis:
Caskin is efficient and does enough things well that he could come out of camp as a team’s third tight end if he produces this summer.
