Bio:
Two-year starter who tied for the team lead with 10.5 tackles for loss and made 46 tackles with 3.5 sacks in 2017 to earn an invitation to the Senior Bowl. Posted 38 tackles, a team-high 13 tackles for loss and six sacks as a junior. Combined for 10 tackles (three for loss) and three sacks during his first two seasons.
Pos:
Incredibly athletic defensive end prospect who never lived up to expectations. Effective with his hands, fluid when asked to twist and stunt and breaks down well. Athletic, explosive at the point of attack and easily moves about the field. Possesses a next-level build, plays with leverage and holds his ground against double-team blocks. Occasionally stands up over tackle and shows ability.
Neg:
Possesses poor instincts. Slow to locate the ball. Often tied up at the point by a single blocker.
Analysis:
Brown has next-level size and speed and looked good in drills during the Senior Bowl but has rarely shown it during games. He possesses a great amount of upside potential, but Brown must start to produce on the field.
