Bio:
Three-year starter who made 46 tackles with one interception and five pass breakups as a senior. Earned First Team All-Mountain honors and led the conference with 14 pass breakups while posting 36 tackles, a team-high four interceptions and two forced fumbles in 2016. Recorded 39 tackles, two interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and eight PBUs as a sophomore.
Pos:
Nice-sized cornerback who struggles to make plays with his back to the ball. Aggressive, explosive and mixes it up with receivers throughout the route. Competitive, effective facing the action and displays a burst to the ball out of his plant. Plays to his size, chases the action and gives effort against the run. Drives his shoulders through ball carriers and looks to intimidate opponents.
Neg:
Slow off the line against opponents. Does not get his head back around and does too much face guarding. Inconsistent in his overall game.
Analysis:
Chachere has next-level size but needs to improve his mechanics and ball skills. He offers good upside and could line up as a dime back and special-teams player.
