Three-year starter who leaves Penn as the school's all-time leader in passing touchdowns (52), completion percentage (65.1) and total offense (7,937 yards). A two-time First Team All-Ivy League selection who led Penn to a 2016 Ivy League Championship. Received an invite to the 2017 East-West Shrine Game. Finished his career with 627 completions on 963 attempts for 7,025 yards, 52 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
Strong-armed pocket passer with the ability to make all the throws. Possesses a quick release, has a next-level arm and easily gets velocity on all his throws. Stands strong in the pocket, displays a sense of timing and anticipation and does not have receivers waiting on the ball. Effectively sells ball fakes, does a good job setting up screen throws and drives the deep outs. Consistently challenges in the vertical game.
Must improve his overall pass placement. At times too concerned with powering the ball into targets. Must learn to put air under throws. Not a true threat carrying the ball.
Torgersen flew under the scouting radar for most of the season but was eventually invited to the Shrine Game and showed well during the week of practices. He possesses a next-level arm as well as solid size and should be given consideration on a practice squad this fall to further develop his talents.
